Cabelte Supports the CÚPULA Festival and Reinforces Its Commitment to Culture

Festival Cúpula

Cabelte is once again partnering with the CÚPULA Festival as one of its main sponsors, supporting a new chapter in what is now one of Portugal’s most relevant international contemporary circus festivals.

After eight editions dedicated to promoting culture, community engagement and public spaces, the CÚPULA Festival is entering a new phase in its history, relocating from Arcozelo to the heart of Vila Nova de Gaia. Cabelte proudly accompanies this evolution, strengthening a relationship built over many years.

Organised by INAC, the National Institute of Circus Arts, based in Ribeirão, the festival has established itself as a cultural benchmark within the European contemporary circus landscape, bringing together national and international artists, free performances, artistic residencies, workshops and environmental awareness initiatives.

A Partnership that Grows Alongside the CÚPULA Festival

Cabelte’s connection with the CÚPULA Festival is not new. Throughout previous editions, the company has supported a project that promotes democratic access to culture and contributes to the development of the communities in which it operates.

The festival’s new location carries special significance. While CÚPULA was born in Arcozelo, INAC develops its activities from Ribeirão, two places deeply connected to Cabelte’s history and identity. Accompanying this new chapter in Vila Nova de Gaia therefore represents the continuation of a commitment to communities, culture and sustainable territorial development.

Culture, Community and Social Impact

With a fully free programme, the CÚPULA Festival promotes cultural inclusion and brings generations together through contemporary circus arts. The event also stands out for its strong environmental focus, developing a narrative centred on ocean protection, biodiversity and sustainability.

For Cabelte, supporting initiatives of this nature means investing in more than a cultural event. It means contributing to projects that generate positive social impact, promote talent, encourage creativity and strengthen the connection between people, organisations and communities.

The Cabelte Stage Joins the 2026 Edition

The company’s presence at this year’s festival will be marked by the Cabelte Stage, a venue integrated into the festival programme that reinforces the brand’s commitment to promoting culture, innovation and community participation.

By partnering with the CÚPULA Festival, Cabelte reaffirms its vision of social responsibility and its role as a company that believes in creating value beyond industry, supporting initiatives capable of transforming communities and inspiring future generations.
