In October, we connected with a new generation of talent through Cabelte’s participation in three careers fairs at higher education institutions in Braga and Coimbra. Our aim was to introduce the company and the opportunities for professional growth and development linked to its expansion.
We attended Start Point Summit at the University of Minho in Braga and, in Coimbra, Feira de Emprego UC & AAC at the University of Coimbra and FENGE at ISEC (Coimbra Institute of Engineering). These three events gave us the opportunity to meet students taking their first steps into the world of work and exploring the paths they would like to pursue.
Conversations often began with curiosity about Cabelte and soon turned to future opportunities: internships, first professional experiences, different career paths and opportunities for internal mobility. The cable samples themselves helped bring our industry to life for students, prompting questions about the sector. Colleagues from different areas also shared their experiences, giving students a first-hand insight into day-to-day life at Cabelte.
For many students, these meetings were also an opportunity to learn more about the scale of Cabelte, our plans for growth and the role cables play in the energy systems and infrastructure that are part of our everyday lives.
Taking part in these careers fairs allows us to bring industry closer to new generations, meet emerging talent and show that there is room to learn, grow and explore different career paths at Cabelte.
Because talent also helps shape the future of energy.
