Cabelte has just achieved another important technical qualification from REN – Redes Energéticas Nacionais, for the supply of high-voltage insulated cables. This recognition is the result of a rigorous process that included tests, audits and technical validations, and represents a strategic step in strengthening the company’s position in both the national and international markets.
After nearly a year of continuous work, Cabelte has successfully completed REN’s qualification process, confirming the company’s technical capability to design and supply high-voltage insulated cables of 150 kV and 220 kV, meeting the highest standards of quality and reliability.
This qualification allows us to integrate new projects into the national market for very high voltage insulated cables, consolidating Cabelte's recognition as a partner of excellence - not only in Portugal, but also beyond its borders
With this achievement, Portuguese clients now have access to a 100% national solution for their high-responsibility electrical infrastructure projects, reinforcing autonomy and trust in the country’s industrial sector. For international markets, it is yet another seal of confidence that strengthens Cabelte’s reputation for delivering high-performance technical solutions.
The qualification allows Cabelte to participate directly in specific REN projects, either through direct award or via installers, and also serves as an additional guarantee for other markets and clients seeking proven partners for highly demanding technical environments.
In addition to the newly qualified high-voltage insulated cables, Cabelte already holds other REN qualifications, including bare conductors – including OPGW – for 150 kV or 220 kV overhead lines, and low-voltage cables for substations.
